From London-Eating

“We went for a birthday meal, the service was excellent and the staff were very polite. The live pianist was pleasant and the food was very tasty, with good portion sizes. I would recommend their barbecue pork ribs. At the end of the meal they brought out Toffee Apple and Ice Cream whilst singing happy birthday, which was a lovely surprise.”

“I have been frequenting the restaurant once a month for 6 years. Not once have I had bad service or poor quality of food. I have even told friends and business related people to go and have an astonishing meal. I have always been met with the utmost humble and kind approaching staff. Always with a smile. The food speaks for itself.”

“Food was well priced when considering quality. Best Chilli Beef I have ever eaten.
Surroundings were fantastic and the fish was beautiful.
Staff were not pushy and they sang happy birthday to my friend.
Would DEFINATLEY go back!”

From Top Table

“Food and service were both excellent. Superb meal for 5 people, we enjoyed it very much!”

“Arrive after 7:30 for the live music. Dined with our young girls and they loved the fish tank and live music. Food was enjoyable, dumplings spectacular.”

“After walking downstairs at Mr. Wing near Earl’s Court in London, you are greeted with a large aquarium, a jungle like setting and a live piano player – our group thought it was interesting. The food was fabulous, this is not your cheap London Chinese Food this is dripping in MSG – so much tastier than that. Not overly crowded for a Friday night, but it should be because this is a gem of a place for good food, ambiance and conversation.”

“Great food with a huge selection – which you would expect from a Chinese. We went for a set menu in the end to make the choice easier and was very happy with the food. Especially the pancake duck – there was enough for probably 4 people and this was a starter! Overall very happy and would recommend.”

“We had a great Chinese New Year meal at Mr Wing. The set menu was excellent value for money and we even had to ask if we could have the aromatic duck taken off as there would have been far too much for two of us to eat! My friend doesn’t like live music and we initially seated downstairs next to the piano, but when asked to be moved we were swiftly taken upstairs to another table. I would highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Mr Wings, up to it’s usual high standard! Chilli Beef is to die for!!”

“Mr Wings is consistently the best Chinese food in SW London. Jazz piano with fish tanks downstairs, its creates a tremendous ambience.”

“Delicious meal ta Mr Wing, Old Brompton Street London Mixture Starters, butterfly king prawns, spring rolls and satay chicken, the scallops with ginger and young chow fried rice, and minced chicken in lettuce leaves. Attentive staff, aythebtic decor and the food was well presented and fresh.”

“Mr. Wing, Earls Court – What a great way to spend New Year’s Day with the family from San Fran! Great food as always!”

“Mr Wing in Kensington is a hidden gen very easily missed on the corner of Old Brompton Road and a stones through from Earls Court Station. The welcome is fabulous, the staff are attentive and the food is truly scrumptious. Ask for a table downstairs beside the 30ft aquarium and the waterfall and if you go thurs – sun there is live jazz which is fabulous but not too loud to talk during dinner. A truly magical place, the duck is a must, WE WILL be returning.”

A Review from Imperial College London, November 2010

“As I arrived I realized the Internet portrayal was spot-on: a modern, fresh and unique experience awaited me. Famous for its food, foliage and jazz, Mr Wing offers a non-conventional feel to a popular Chinese cuisine. My excitement levels grew as I walked down the staircase, past a flowing waterfall, to be seated in the sophisticated, chic, modern, ground-floor basement; a fish tank wall on one side of me, a tropical tree on the other. Wow. The first restaurant I’ve been to where I couldn’t care less how long they take to deliver my food, I had the ‘fat fish’ chasing Nemo and Dori around to keep me occupied. ..” Read the full review here: http://felixonline.co.uk/food/432/mr-wing-the-perfect-treatment-for-chinatown-blues/
